Sewing is the counterpoint to my screen-based design practise.

I made my first dress when I was in high school and that was the beginning of a lifelong hobby. Since then, I’ve made countless items and garments, some best forgotten, like the patchwork jeans I wore once to a rave in the year 2000. Making tactile things by hand is my retreat from spending hours behind a screen; it nourishes and inspires.

In 2019 I enrolled in a full-time pattern design course to learn the skillset and recently began designing and drafting patterns for garments, something I find deeply satisfying.
